DIY Farmhouse Sofa Table | TV Stand

Check out the video below and let me show you how I built a DIY farmhouse sofa table. You can also view full resolution images of the build below.

This isn’t just a sofa table, you can also use this small table an entryway table, a hallway table, foyer table, small console table, even a TV stand for a 65 inch TV. Really, the options are endless for such a multi functional table like this. I made this X style table with pocket hole joinery so it is easily approachable for most any beginner or intermediate woodworker. I used an ebony stain on the table, and you can really see the wood grain popping through. That color on the pine and spruce really adds a lot of character to the build. Why would you buy cheap furniture if you can build your own that is much better quality and will last years longer than the fiber board junk that is sold online! You can build this tv stand using minimal tools and supplies. The only lumber you'll need for this project is: 2- 8 foot 2x6's / 2 - 10 foot 2x4's / 1- 12 foot 1x6 / 1 - 8 foot 1x6. The total cost of the lumber and supplies should be less than $75. A TV stand for flat screens like this one in a furniture store would easily cost you over $250 and could be as much as $500 depending on the store. Don't purchase a pre-made tv stand when you can make one for yourself! Check out the information below to find the tools and supplies I used in this build.
